Lauren Healey is an artist & creative producer based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. She makes work about the ambiguity of documentation using photography, video, installation and audio, with a particular interest in urban and domestic landscapes.
Recent work includes Linear Shift, an HD video and 5.1 audio installation with artist / filmmaker Taryn Edmonds; Response: A Rural / Urban Intervention, an artist-led investigation into rural and urban landscapes; and Seeing the City Anew, a collaboration with the University of Manchester and the University of Chester investigating the understanding of belonging of asylum seekers in Greater Manchester.
As an arts producer, she has worked with and for a variety of organisations on projects including website production & management, publication management & editing, fundraising, off-site and gallery-based curating. She is currently Project and Development Manager for Northern Film & Media and works across the Communications & Partnerships and Programme teams for a-n The Artists Information Company. She is also a member of the Programming Committee for the NewBridge Project.
